The Project

Heartland Solutions was responsible for the project governance of the DIN EN 50600 certification of the Polarise AI Factory at Tucherpark in Munich, working alongside partners T-Systems and NVIDIA.

The certification was successfully completed and now forms the technical and organizational foundation for the secure and stable operation of the high-density GPU infrastructure.

The data center at Tucherpark in Munich is part of one of Europe’s largest AI infrastructure projects. Located within a mixed-use urban district, a state-of-the-art industrial AI cloud facility is being developed, realized by Deutsche Telekom and NVIDIA, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and sovereign infrastructure. Designed as a specialized AI factory with thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, the site serves international industrial and technology partners as a high-performance compute platform for urban and global AI workloads.

In addition to developing the AI Factory Munich, Polarise acts as the executing full-stack AIaaS provider, responsible for the planning, construction, and operation of AI-centric data centers and service infrastructure. In doing so, Polarise delivers a key building block for high-performance, secure, and future-ready AI infrastructure in Germany and across Europe.

As part of the engagement, Heartland Solutions assumed technical leadership and end-to-end responsibility for the DIN EN 50600 certification of the entire project. This included the design and implementation of a standards-compliant management system as well as the coordination of all technical, organizational, and process-related requirements required to achieve audit and certification readiness under the international data center infrastructure standard.

Throughout the project, Heartland structured the relevant DIN EN 50600 requirements -  including supply security, redundancy concepts, physical and operational security, as well as energy and architecture frameworks - and consistently embedded them within a holistic, audit-ready framework. The objective was to combine the high performance and security demands of AI operations in an industrial data center with a robust and scalable management system.

Through a clearly structured approach and close collaboration with owners, operators, and partners, the certification was successfully completed. The result is a robust DIN EN 50600 conformity for the Tucherpark data center - a critical foundation for the sustainable and secure operation of AI infrastructure.

The successful certification highlights Heartland Solutions’ ability to confidently manage complex certification programs in high-density, technically demanding environments and to translate industrial standards into operational excellence.

Client Feedback

“DIN EN 50600 is critical for AI data centers, as it defines uniform and widely recognized standards across Europe. These standards ensure availability, security, and energy efficiency and enable our customers to reliably operate highly critical AI workloads. The technical depth and strong commitment demonstrated by Heartland were decisive for the success of the project.”
